David Lowery, of Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven and editor of The Trichordist, on artist rights.
David Lowery is a singer/songwriter and guitarist for the legendary alternative/indie bands Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven. These two bands have sold over a million records and had a dozen modern rock hits. David is also a record producer whose credits include The Counting Crows, Jason Molina, Magnolia Electric Company, Lucero, Sparklehorse, and more. In February 2011, 429/Savoy Records released his first solo record “The Palace Guards”.
David has started a large number of music related businesses, including a studio, a record label, and publishing company. His extensive experience in business and the music industry has led to his appointment as a lecturer in the University of Georgia’s music business program.
