Mike Bevan and Alain Valodze
After first playing guitar together over 40 years ago, Mike and Alain have reigniting aew and exciting repertoire of music played on a 7 string and flamenco guitar. Bothhave explored the world of guitar music, the 7 string taking a journey to Brazil to finetune those deep afro samba and Choro tones while the Flamenco searched for its soulin the music of southern Spain and the middle east.The common thread is Jazz improvisation, a music that unites all.Throughout their time together they have supported such Artists and Yasmin Levy,Yamandu Costa, Slava and Sharon Grigoryan often sharing the stage with them.On stages such as Womadelaide, Festival Centre, Her Majesty's Theatre and theSpiegaltent.Both have been recently featured as Soloists and as a Duo for the Adelaide GuitarFestival.It promises to be night of warmth and banter, through the eyes of two friends whoreally speak through their guitars. A night that may well feature a guest performance ortwo.
