Event description
Walk in the forest with us, and identify mushrooms and trees! Learn about their symbiotic relationships, as well as other native plants!

About this event

Spring is an EXCELLENT time to take a walk in the forest with us, during the budding season. Come with us in the woods of Soul and Soil Project's Eco-Learning Farm, and join facilitators Natalie Geradot, of Myco Rhizing, LLC and Landon Dillingham, of Little Ivy Landscaping, in this engaging, 2 hour class.

Participants will discover:

  • what mushrooms grow with what trees?
  • how to identify the trees around
  • how to identify & properly harvest the mushrooms
  • identify any neighboring native plants of interest & their uses

Everyone can benefit from this precious information, and practice makes perfect, when it comes to foraging. Living in these mountains is truly a gift. Let's keep learning, together!

Sliding Scale $5-$20 (Proceeds go to faciliators. Show them love!)

Register through eventbrite for more information.

We ask all participants to arrive ON TIME, so we may begin promptly. There will be time to meet and greet, but we want to begin the walk to make a nice loop.

Bring your water bottle, walking shoes and journal. Take pictures on the walk, too!

Please be willing to comply with covid safety protocols.

See you there!
