Description

Come and Learn About World War I Through Historical Artifacts!

The Anoka County Historical Society is excited to offer a box full of historical artifacts from the World War I Era. This great resource will help bring the past to life as you study American history.

Beginning with a brief overview of the war, this box and accompanied presentation covers what life was like on the home front. It especially addresses the clash between President Wilson’s stated reason for entering the war – to make the world “safe for democracy” – and the often un-democratic measures and restrictions that were imposed on Americans at home for the duration of the conflict.

Registration is required. The class is FREE!
