Muscle Testing 101 Taught by Dr. Michael Gallo
This course is useful for the beginner to the novice. New comers learn an organized easy to follow program and advanced kinesiologists will learn to break bad habits and scrutinize their existing technique. Not just a survey course, muscle testing 101 starts at the beginning and offers the tools to make the art of muscle testing repeatable and reliable. When completed the attendee should be skilled at low force patient testing and self-testing as well as be able to determine when a person is testable and experience different ways to muscle test.
In clinical practice, muscle testing is used to evaluate muscle strength and evaluate damage to the musculoskeletal frame. Applied Kinesiology uses muscle testing to evaluate subtle body energies. In this way muscle testing is often used to evaluate nutrition and metabolism. In today's complex electrical world people have multiple chemical sensitivities and often their nervous systems are in a state of confusion and/or adaptation.
Muscle testing patients with “confused” nervous systems or in a state of adaptation yields unreliable information. In other words, without screening patients for their “testability”, muscle testing results are compromised and inter-testing reliability is poor. Well-meaning novices have applied muscle testing improperly along with legions of improperly trained practitioners have given muscle testing a bad reputation with some in the scientific community.
Still, the benefits of instant feedback from a well-trained delivery engaging a non-compensating nervous system make muscle testing irresistible to the professional requiring new methods and opens new worlds of possibilities to access the subconscious.
Many things have the potential to affect the muscle test: the person’s state of mind, their eye movement, random thoughts, personal beliefs, hip adduction and much more. Muscle Testing 101’s objective is to help the attendee master muscle testing through lecture and workshop. The focus is on making testing repeatable and reliable and the determination and correction of any reason a person is “not testable” Coarse elements include:
- Survey different muscle testing types
- Learn calibration of muscle low force muscle testing
- Explain and encourage open end versus binary testing
- Explain confusing results due to up-regulation of the nervous system
- Eliminate confusing results using the “High Triangle” method
- Explain and utilize “stacking” which is a muscle testing phenomenon
- An introduction to medical grading muscle testing against and with gravity
- Self-muscle testing concepts with skill development
- Determination of reliability of a testability
- Correction suggestions for the reasons a person is “not testable”
- How to test patients for allergy, anemia and blood sugar problems
