Murder Mystery Fundraiser for Warfighter Advance

Join us for an evening of murder, mystery and mayhem as Whodunnit for Hire and Middleton Hall team up to bring you "Sinister Speakeasy" the 1920s Theme Murder Mystery Dinner Party to raise funds for Warfighter Advance which helps our Veterans suffering with post traumatic stress.

Tickets
Available via EventBrite until midnight on Sunday, September 16, 2018. Not sold at the door. This event is limited to 15 tables and will likely sell out. Get your seats early. Seating is arranged on a first-come, first serve basis.

Cost
$75/person includes donation, mystery, three course dinner with entree options, parking, photos (free to download), taxes and gratuity, ice tea, and 50/50 raffle.

The Menu
First Course

  • Gangster Garden Salad with Mixed Greens, Cucumbers and Tomatoes tossed with a light Lemon Vinaigrette Dressing

Second Course (Choose One); Served with Freshly Baked Rolls and Butter

  • Charleston Chicken: Succulent Chicken Breast Stuffed with Jumbo Lump Maryland Crab Meat and Topped with a Delightfully Tangy Mustard Barbecue Sauce, served with garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed green beans
  • Bees Knees Beef: Carved Beef Tenderloin Cooked to Perfection served with garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed green beans

Third Course

  • Prohibition Pie: Sweet and Tart Apple Pie Topped with Vanilla Ice Cream and Drizzled with Caramel


1920s Signature Cocktails (Available for purchase at the full cash bar)

  • Bathtub Gin Fizz; Gin, Peach Schnapps and Lemon-Lime Soda Shaken to a Fizz
  • New Fashioned; Crown Royal, Amaretto, Bitter and Orange Zest
  • Flapper's Delight; Rye, Cointreau, Grand Marnier, Lemon Juice and Orange Zest


The Storyline
1928 was the height of the roaring twenties. Our mystery puts us inside a popular speakeasy bustling with gambling, drinking and dancing. The owner is excited to be celebrating her last night but when the fellow who intends to purchase the establishment winds up dead, chaos ensues. We can't call the cops until we drink all the liquor (it is illegal after all) so in the meantime we'll see if we can't solve this heinous crime ourselves.

The murder mystery is a comedy and will at no time have guests frightened or confused.

Participation Encouraged
This event is an interactive murder mystery game. As a guest you will be asked to participate as a speakeasy patron and to help solve whodunnit.

Refunds
You may get a full refund for cancellations up to and including September 14. No refunds thereafter. However you are welcome to give your seat to a friend should a last minute emergency or illness prevent you from attending.

Recommended Dress (Encouraged but not required)
Gangster and Flapper Attire of the 1920s. Search "1920s Costume" for ideas.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

*I'd like to sponsor this event. What are the details? Thank you! For $50 your logo and link to your website will be added here, your business card will be included in the program, and your business will be listed in the follow up email. Email me (Wendy) and I'll set you up: murdermysterycompany@gmail.com Your support of Warfighter Advance is greatly appreciated.

*My friend and I want to sit together. Can we book individually? Yes. You may make separate reservations. When asked "Are you part of a larger party?" Answer "Yes." If both of you choose the same Party Name, your seats will be together. If purchased via facebook you will have to send me an email with the party name, the facebook app doesn't show the question.

*I'm celebrating. How can I have an entire table devoted to my party? Choose a Party Name and give it to your friends and family. Middleton Hall tables seat eight people. Larger groups will be seated at tables next to one another. Smaller groups will be seated with other guests.

*Can I get a discount if I purchase an entire table of seats? Yes. If you send a single check for $480, you will get eight seats - a full table. Send one check accompanied by a phone number, email address and the number of guests having chicken and the number of guests having beef. Please email me in advance to ensure that I have availability.

*Do I have to dress up? We've found that 80% or more of folks come dressed up. If you are unsure what to wear, search "1920s Costume" for ideas. You will be admitted with or without a costume.

*Do I need to print my ticket? No. Give your name and party name at the door.

*Is there a Vegetarian (Vegan, Gluten Free, Other) option? Yes. Choose "Dietary Concern" and let us know what you need. This goes for allergy concerns as well.

*It is later than September 14 can I still get a refund? No. Should an emergency or illness prevent you from attending, give your seat to a friend. Be sure to tell them what you have ordered. There can be no meal changes.

*I would like to turn my company party (or family reunion) into a murder mystery party at the Middleton Hall. Is that possible? Yes! The Middleton Hall can accommodate groups of between 80 and 120 guests. You may choose from among several storylines and themes available. A few options include "Let's Kill the Boss" and "Turning 50 Can Be Murder."
