Description

Mural Dedication – "Water Gives Life" – Follow-up to 2018 Yale Day of Service

It's Mural Arts Month in Philadelphia! Join us to witness and enjoy the dedication of a mural that Yale alumni volunteers helped paint on Saturday, May 19, 2018 as part of the 2018 Yale Day of Service.

The artwork, Water Gives Life, was created by artists Eurhi Jones and David McShane to celebrate the connection between Philadelphia's rivers and local horticulture. This mural is a vibrant project of the world-renowned Mural Arts Philadelphia program in collaboration with the Philadelphia Water Department and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

Come out to learn about "our" new mural in the heart of Center City and the "how" and "why" of mural creation and installation in Philly. Let's get inspired to grow the Yale Club of Philadelphia's partnership with Mural Arts Philadelphia.

After the program, anyone interested can continue discussions nearby at a cafe or even do a self-guided walking mural tour in the surrounding blocks. Murals are art for insight, inspiration and community every day!
