Event description

Description

Join the conversation at this free, half-day forum bringing together municipal and data standards experts.

Data standards improve the efficiency of regulatory disclosures by U.S. public companies and banks, but have not been implemented for state and local government reporting. This forum, featuring speakers from U.S. Census, Americans for Financial Reform, the Do Good Institute, and more, will initiate a dialogue about how financial data standards can help states and municipalities improve the efficiency of reporting, reduce cost, and provide reporting entities with better data to set policy. Standardized data will give municipal securities analysts the tools to make better investment decisions and fund needed local government programs.

Government representatives, municipal investors, tool and service providers in the public sector, should all attend.

Attendance is free but space is limited and registration is required. The forum will be followed by a meeting of the XBRL US State & Local Government Disclosure Modernization Working Group.
