Professor Janice Carruthers will give this talk drawing on her research as part of the Arts and Humanities Research Council-funded MEITS project: ‘Multilingualism. Empowering Individuals, Transforming Societies’ (www.meits.org). Professor Carruthers leads the strand which addresses Sociolinguistic issues around multilingualism in France and Ireland.

Janice Carruthers is Professor of French Linguistics at Queen’s University Belfast, and since January 2017 she has been the Leadership Fellow in Modern Languages at the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

This is a free public lecture, and all are welcome.

Date: Thursday 30 March 2017

Time: Lecture begins at 6.30pm, with a reception from 6.00pm.
