Event description
Don’t miss this annual event showcasing the wonderful diversity of our community!

About this Event

Organized by the John Hopkins Multicultural Committee

The purpose of holding a Multicultural Night is to create an opportunity for John Hopkins Middle School and the surrounding community to be unified by pride in our children and to celebrate all the richness and benefits we get from being such a diverse multicultural community.

On the night of the event, there will be tables set-up for those who have volunteered to display their culture(s). Each group, through the use of props/decorations, will be asked to transform their table(s), cafeteria-size, into their country of origin, to share a food (cut into bite-size pieces please), to include interesting facts about the country/culture being represented, to display the country’s flag/colors, or interesting craft—everything and anything representative of the culture being represented.

Our goal is to Integrate as many cultures as possible—history, literature, music, languages, food, traditional dress/costume, art, inventions, games, famous people, etc. The possibilities are endless!

🍲 During that week, our Cafe Team will be planning lunches for the school that will represent a wide variety of cultures.

🤲 The PTSA will have a fundraising opportunity with Multicultural T-Shirts for sale.
