Join us for our monthly breakfast program featuring guest speaker, Cal Jackson, CEO of Diversity Inclusion Ventures as he discusses successful theories to enhance the Cultural Competency of marketers and advertisers. Many mistranslations of oversees ads arise from major U.S. companies not doing their homework (i.e., Chevy Nova, KFC "Finger Lickin' Good", Come Alive with the Pepsi Generation). Cal will explain how these missteps can be avoided today and will provide JAMA with vital tools to consider for multicultural and niche marketing in this ever-changing, diverse population.

About the Guest Speaker
Cal Jackson is the Owner of Diversity Inclusion Ventures and a certified NTL Diversity Practitioner. After 5 years as a television news reporter, Cal served as a press secretary for the mayor of Atlanta. He began his journey as a corporate leader with MCI Telecommunications and Prudential Insurance. Cal produces documentaries and corporate diversity videos for his education modules. In 2004, Cal began his career in Cultural Competency Education with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Florida.
Cal is most known in the Diversity and Inclusion community for his design, development and delivery of engaging and thought-provoking cultural competence workshops. Topics include generations, gender, lookism, self-awareness, discrimination, bias, classism and the cultural competence of managers.
Cal Jackson has been an advocate for social justice through his many associations which include the Mayor’s Human Rights Commission, Jacksonville Diversity Network, Northeast FL Leadership Council, FL Black Expo Advisory Board, Northeast FL United Negro College Fund Advisory Board, and Community Hospice of Northeast FL Board of Directors.
