Purpose
This training is intended to provide an overview of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework with a focus on student success. Each of the six MTSS Essential Components will be addressed with practice application of Data-Based Problem Solving and Decision Making. Connections will be made between MTSS, implementation science, and Colorado’s legislated educational priorities. Learning activities will help build understanding of MTSS, facilitate reflection on current academic and behavior supports, and assist in the development of action planning steps for MTSS implementation.
Participants
Stakeholders to include: District and School Administrators, District and School Leadership Teams, Special Educators, MTSS/RtI/PBIS Coaches, and Related Services Personnel

Participants are encouraged to attend in teams or with thinking partners.

District or School Leadership (or Implementation) Teams should consider representation. For teams who are implementing MTSS, team composition should aim for balance and multiple perspectives.

Examples of team members include: Curriculum Director, Special Education Director, Title I Director, Parent Representative Co-Chair of SAC/DAC, Assessment/Accountability Director, Superintendents, Principals, Teacher Leaders, Academic, Behavior, and/or Systems Coaches, etc.
*Professional learning certificates of completion (for documentation of 6.0 hours of training) will be available for participants.
