Description

This course is designed to educate therapists and case managers on the phases of care for individuals with arms and hands paralyzed or weakened by stroke, brachial plexus injury, cerebral palsy or other neuromuscular disease or injury. The course will introduce attendees to the latest in orthotic upper limb rehabilitation technologies. Upon the completion of this seminar, therapists and case managers will be able to identify which clients are appropriate for various orthotic treatments, understand the range of patients who can now benefit from new orthotic technologies, and be introduced to the critical nature of functional training to maximize patient outcomes.
