MTI K-5 Workshop- Open Session (Bronx) 11/19 @ 09X035

Thank you for registering for the Move-to Improve professional development workshop in the Office of School Wellness Programs. MTI is a classroom based physical activity program designed to increase physical activity among students, K-5, in NYC public elementary school.

MTI provides elementary school teachers with the tools to incorporate brief, structured activities into the classroom. These MTI activities blend academics and physical activity into educational lessons that support New York State Physical Education Learning Standards and are integrated with Common Core Learning Standards (CCLS).

New York State requires all elementary schools to provide at least 120 minutes of PE every week for all students. Schools with a comprehensive PE program, led by a certified or designated PE teacher, have the opportunity to become an MTI All-Star school by training at least 85% of their eligible teachers in MTI. MTI All-Star Schools can use MTI activities during classroom instructional time to supplement their existing PE program to meet this requirement.

1. In the TICKET INFORMATION (see above) section on the main registration page (this page), select your total number of tickets (1 per teacher you wish to register for this workshop date; max 15 per order) and click on the GREEN REGISTER button; you will be directed to a new page to input you registration details.

2. Confirm that you have entered the correct information and that you have selected the correct workshop, date and location in the ORDER SUMMARY section.

3. To complete the REGISTRATION INFORMATION section you will need the following information for each teacher participating:

• First and Last Name
• DOE E-mail address (required- xxx@schools.nyc.gov)
• Phone number
• School DBN (i.e. District Borough Number/DBN) *To find your school's DBN, use the "School Search" option here.
• Job Title/Role in School
• Grade Level Served
• Principal information (phone number and email address)

4. Confirm all information is correct and click COMPLETE REGISTRATION

5. You will be redirected to a CONFIRMATION PAGE that contains the date and borough of the session registered for; this information will also be emailed.
