Event Details

Come and join MTB Dolly aka Chrissy Francis and friends for a ride across the Peak District to support the #mendourmountains campaign to protect Cut Gate.

Starting from Hayfield, you'll head up over towards Mam Tor before heading down to Hassop, before swinging north on the edges to finish in Lady Cannings plantation and for a well earned pint in the pub!

Chrissy says: "This is a challenging off road MTB ride consisting of appox 45 miles and 5,500 ft of ascent. The first stage of the ride, Hayfield to Mam Tor, is graded as red/black terrain with technical skill required.

Stage two, will start at Mam Tor, over a less challenging section of the ride, following the Limestone Way to the Monsal Trail,  giving your legs a rest along the old disused railway into Hassop.

Then finally the last section, from Hassop with a tough climb up to and across Curbar Edge leading you with a picturesque final stretch to the magnificent Lady Canning's plantation. This is a tough ride, and a good level of fitness is required.

However, if you would  still like to take part but feel this is too challenging for you, then you can simply complete stage two which is also suitable for children and just cycle up and back the Monsal Trail taking in the beautiful scenery along the way. It really doesn't matter. Just sign up get a ticket and take your pick of MTB Dolly's Mixer"

Your £10 entry fee will mostly go straight to the campaign, but we'll also arrange a few little goodies for those who take part. Of course, we'd love you to get even more sponsorship on top.

It's an unsupported, unmarshalled ride - but you'll be with a lot of like minded riders showing how much they care about Cut Gate.

Riders will be staggered at the start. We're sharing these trails so we need to think about others - Be Nice. Say Hi.

A social ride from Hayfield over to Ringinglow in Sheffield with a friendly bunch of riders in mid-summer? Ace.

MTB Dolly's Mixer? Sweet!
