Missouri School Plant Manager’s Association (MSPMA) and Missouri’s Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) are once again excited to offer free training for Missouri’s schools’ physical plant employees in a variety of locations across the state.
At each location, a two-day practical, hands on training course will be taught by industry professionals in the disciplines of:
• Housekeeping
• HVAC
• Maintenance & Repair
• Supervision
Upon completion of the two-day course, attendees will earn a certificate of completion for the specified discipline from DESE, as well as, updated training in Asbestos Aware-ness.
Upon completion of three of the four training disciplines/courses where certificates in Housekeeping, HVAC, Maintenance & Repair, and/or Supervision have been earned, participants are eligible to apply for a DESE Master Gold Seal Certificate. The Master Seal is awarded to recognize a participant’s efforts in becoming a school employee dedicated to mastering best practices in support staff operations.
