EVENT ADVISORY: Please note that our event on Sat, October 12 is taking place directly next to Fleet Week activities at the Marina Green.

If you are driving, we recommend arriving very early to the event area as parking will be difficult. Alternatively we encourage using public transportation, taxis, or rideshares, which are your best options for getting to our event.

MSF On the Road: A Voice from the Field is a special traveling speaker series that explores the mission of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and discusses the challenges of bringing life-saving medical care where it's needed most.

This event will feature mental health officer Karen Stewart, who will share her experiences from 11 assignments with MSF.

Please join us for this unique, in-person opportunity to engage with MSF in your community.

Light refreshments will be served.

Doors open at 1:00pm.

Presentation begins at 1:30pm.

Reception follows at 2:30pm.

This event is FREE and open to the public. Registration is required.

1. Do I need a ticket?
There are NO tickets for this event. Simply check in at our registration table when you arrive.

2. May I bring a guest?
Absolutely! Just be sure to register for yourself and all guests. Your guests can also register directly at doctorswithoutborders.org/ontheroad.

3. How do I get there?
Parking in the area will be very difficult due to Fleet Week activities occurring at the same time at the Marina Green
.

Paid parking is available onsite at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture, though this parking will be very limited. If you must drive, we recommend arriving to the event area very early and be prepared to park in the Marina neighborhood and walk back to the venue.

Public transportation, taxis, and rideshares are your best options for getting to our event.

MUNI Lines 28, 30, 30X, 43, 47 and 49 serve Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. In addition, Golden Gate Transit stops at the intersection of Lombard and Fillmore Streets. As another option, the F Market historic trolley line ends at the west end of Fisherman's Wharf which is a nice walk over the hill of Upper Fort Mason to the Lower Fort and the Cowell Theater.

IF YOU ARE TAKING A TAXI OR RIDESHARE, instruct your driver to bring you to the Cowell Theater, not Fort Mason.
