Description

MSF On the Road: A Voice from the Field is a special traveling speaker series that explores the mission of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and discusses the challenges of bringing life-saving medical care where it's needed most.

This event will feature mental health officer Karen Stewart, who will share her experiences from 11 assignments with MSF.

Please join us for this unique, in-person opportunity to engage with MSF in your community.

Light refreshments will be served.

Doors open at 1:00pm.

Presentation begins at 1:30pm.

Reception follows at 2:30pm.

This event is FREE and open to the public. Registration is required.



FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Do I need a ticket?
There are NO tickets for this event. Simply check in at our registration table when you arrive.

2. May I bring a guest?
Absolutely! Just be sure to register for yourself and all guests. Your guests can also register directly at doctorswithoutborders.org/ontheroad.

3. Where do I park?
The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (JSMA) is located on the western side of the University of Oregon campus, next to the Knight Library.

Metered parking – free on Sundays – may be found along Kincaid Street and University Street.

University Lot #16A, located on the corner of Kincaid Street and East 14th Avenue, is the parking lot closest to the museum that is open to the public.

NOTE: GUESTS WITH MOBILITY CONCERNS may enter via the back entrance to the museum, where there are a limited number of parking spaces reserved for our attendees in the JSMA Parking Lot (continue reading below for more information).

To reach the back entrance of the museum and the JSMA Parking Lot, travel NORTH on University Street and turn left onto Johnson Lane. The JSMA Parking Lot is at the end of Johnson Lane on your left.

To ensure one of these parking spaces behind the museum is reserved for you, please contact us no less than 6 hours before the event. Call us at (212) 400-3426 or send an email to ontheroad@newyork.msf.org. In the subject line of your email, write "MSF On the Road: Eugene - Parking" and in the body of the email include your full name. When you arrive in the parking lot behind the museum look for the space with a sign that has your name.

4. Is the venue accessible?
The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (JSMA) is accessible to wheelchair users and other visitors who need to avoid stairs. Ramps lead to the front entrance and guests with mobility concerns may enter via the back entrance to the museum, where there are a limited number of parking spaces reserved for our attendees in the JSMA Parking Lot (continue reading below for more information).
