Event description

Description

This December, The Bill Munday School of Business will host an inaugural Speaker Series focusing on a key pillar in Austin's business ecosystem: social enterprise.

Join us for a community discussion as we explore the various definitions of social enterprise and how it lives in Austin. Three panelists with different experiences on creating social impact will share insights they have gained in their careers, as well advice for students looking to launch a social enterprise.

Panelists will include:

- Scott Collier (Global Growth & Business Development, Whole Foods)
- Dana Harmon (Executive Director, Texas Energy Poverty Research Institute)
- Magatte Wade (Founder and CEO, Tiossan)

Zoe Schlag, Founder and Executive Director at UnLTD USA, will moderate. Zoe is an Aspen Ideas Scholar and a World Economic Forum Global Shaper and has worked in social entrepreneurship and community development in Brazil, Guatemala, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina and India.

Refreshments will be served in the lobby of Carter Auditorium following the event.

Please note: Due to the time of the event, parking on campus will be available to all attendees, no permit required, in "Commuter Student and Staff," "Faculty" and "All Permits" lots. View the St. Edward's University campus parking map.
