Interactive - Virtual Book Tour - November 6-17, 2017

Register now for an interactive Virtual Book Tour presenting "Ms Pearl Makes a Discovery", a children's book written to encourage science exploration. Children ages 4-10 will meet Author and Award Winning Scientist, Christina Washington as she reads this fun and informative book. This is a great way to get children excited about learning while providing an experience that lasts a lifetime. Due to the educational content, this event may serve as a science or ELA lesson and is designed to be a fun alternative to field trips.

The lead character, Ms Pearl, is loosely based on the author's experiences as a Scientist. Ms Pearl enjoys performing experiments in her laboratory with her dynamic animal friends - Sean the squirrel, Teddy the Turtle, Elle the Elephant, Alex the Alligator, and Max the Monkey. Children will learn about states of matter, chemical reactions, and other interesting concepts. The book also has a corresponding activity kit for children to repeat the kid-friendly experiment performed in the book. Individual and classroom quanities available.


Libraries, schools, or individuals will register online and receive an email with connection instructions. You may select any date during November 6-17, 2017. On the selected date, you will connect to the interactive web conference using internet or wifi connection. You will be able to see and interact with the Author as she reads the book. The Author will also give a small talk to students about her experiences as a Scientist, followed by a short Q & A session.


-Libraries, preschools, elementary schools, home schoolers or individuals.


-Registration includes an autographed copy of the book, shippping, a drawstring backpack, and access to the interactive book reading.


-Group registration allows connectivity for your classroom or library only. An autographed copy of the book will be donated to your class or library if 10 children at your location pre-order the book.

HOW DO I REGISTER A GROUP or CLASS (schools, libraries,etc)?

First, register your group online through event bright. Next, send an email to to request an order form and/or promo flyer. This information may be distributed to your group so that children can pre-order the book.
