Event description

Description

Join us for an afternoon exploring the origins and uses of fabrics, changes in fashion during the 20th century and the importance of Fair Trade. We'll get hands-on and examine some fabrics close-up, play a game, explore the Marks in Time exhibition and do some dressing up.

Suitable for learners aged 4-9, all activities can be adapted to accomodate learning levels.

The M&S Company Archive is located in the Michael Marks Building on the University of Leeds Western Campus, off Clarendon Road and Woodsley Road.

We can be a little hard to find if you haven't visited before, so please have a look at our Visit Us information before you travel.

Parking

We have two Blue Badge spaces outside the building available for Blue Badge holders.

There is no other public parking available, however we have reserved ten free parking spaces at Leeds University Business School for the afternoon. If you would like to use one of these spaces please email Caroline at company.archive@marks-and-spencer.com spaces will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Other parking is available at the Woodhouse Lane Multi-storey car park, and in the residential streets around Royal Park Road, both are about a 15 minute walk from the archive.
