MS and the Benefits of Occupational Therapy
Fri, September 22, 2017, 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM CDT
Occupational therapists help people living with MS develop and implement practical solutions to the challenges of everyday living. In this session, two Occupational Therapists, Maria Sundsted and Jamie McAndrews, will address concerns related to fatigue, cognition, upper body strength and coordination related everyday situations. They will also highlight environmental and behavioral adaptations that can be made to facilitate your participation in the activities you enjoy.
This free session is part of a quarterly learning and sharing forum designed to help people living with MS in the community connect with each other and with health care professionals. It allows MS patients and their caregivers to stay up-to-date on how to manage MS-related symptoms. It is sponsored by SSM Health's Neurosciences Department.
