Mozart Comes to America!
Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM (EDT)
Mozart’s own instruments — his violin and viola — are coming to Boston.
Join us on Wednesday, June 12, for a special evening in WGBH’s Fraser Performance Studio to hear these instruments played by violinist and Aston Magna Festival artistic director Dan Stepner, violist Anne Black, and other members of Aston Magna. This night of Mozartean chamber works will feature a rare performance by Stepner and Black of one of Mozart’s Duos for Violin and Viola, a work tailor-made to showcase the qualities of both instruments.
The evening also will include a presentation by Gabriele Ramsauer, director of museums for the Mozarteum Foundation and the personal chaperone for the two priceless instruments during their time in America. She will speak about the fascinating history of the Mozart musical instrument collection.
Seating is limited, so reserve your tickets now for this once-in-a-lifetime experience to see — and hear — a piece of musical history!
Please note, all ticket sales are final.
