Event description

Description

Cynthia Greenwood looks at the state of modern art at the time of World War One and explores the way artists were experimenting with contemporary styles.

How did the war artists responded to modern developments, considering such problems as the censorship of their art but also the positive challenges of the new, surreal, world of war as a subject.

Kindly supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
