🔥 What is a firewalk?

A firewalk is the act of walking barefoot over a bed of embers (carefully prepared and supervised) as a symbolic act of courage, strength, and personal breakthrough. It’s completely safe when done with professional guidance — and incredibly empowering.

🎟️ Who needs a ticket?

Only those participating in the firewalk are required to have a ticket. Spectators do not need a ticket.

👣 Is it safe?

Yes! The firewalk will be delivered by Firewalk Scotland, who are trained professionals with years of experience. A full safety briefing and preparation session will be provided on the night. You’ll never be asked to do anything you’re not comfortable with.

🧍‍♂️ Do I have to walk across the fire?

Not at all. You’re welcome to attend just to support, observe, or enjoy the atmosphere. The evening is about community and celebration — not pressure.

🧾 Is there a cost to attend?

Tickets are £20 with the expectation that participants will accumulate sponsors to raise additional funds.

🎒 What should I bring?

  • Comfortable clothing
  • Shoes will be removed for the firewalk, but you can wear socks or bring slippers for before/after.

Will there be food and drinks?

Yes! There will be free tea, coffee, and light snacks.

🎁 Is there a raffle?

Yes, we’ll be holding a small raffle with prizes generously donated by local businesses. Bring a few £1 coins if you'd like to take part!

📷 Can I take photos?

You can take your own photos, but please be respectful of others’ privacy. There will also be an official group photo and a selfie station. If you prefer not to be photographed, just let a member of staff know.

🧡 Why are we doing this?

This event is part of Recovery Month, which celebrates the strength and courage of people in recovery and raises awareness of addiction, healing, and community support. The firewalk symbolises overcoming obstacles — something everyone in recovery knows deeply.
