About this event
“Moving Music” is the first collaboration between Dr. Yi Chun Lin’s Sioux Falls Chamber Music Collective (SFCMC) and Angelina Gibson’s ArtiTänzer Project (ATP). With this program, Gibson and Lin wish to put music and dance in dialogue with each other through hybridity, diversity, and experimentation. Together, ATP and SFCMC examine what it means to create “moving music” through dance, but also how music itself, is in motion. Join two artistic forces in their exploration of music and dance’s intertwinement.
Main artists:
- Yi-Chun Lin, music producer and violinist
- Angelina Gibson, choreographer/dancer
- Rie Tenaka, pianist
- Kirtana Kushmar, dancer and co-choreographer of Aalap and Tarana by Kala Ramnath
