Event description

Description

On June 6th, 2018 here in Edmonton, the Creating Hope Society is proud to be hosting the final in a series of forums around ‘Building Economic Prosperity for Indigenous Women in the Industry and Trade Sector”.

This is event for anyone who stands to benefit from greater inclusion of Indigenous women in the Industry and Trade sector.

  • Industry leaders and professionals supporting diversity and inclusion

  • Indigenous women either working in or interested in the Industry and Trade sector

  • Officials from government departments or non-profits that work to support the economic prosperity of Indigenous women.

Indigenous women continue to face systemic barriers to prosperity, especially those working in the highly-productive sectors such as Industry and Trade. Only when these systemic barriers are addressed will our Indigenous women have greater opportunities for employment and advancement in the Industry and Trade sector.

Indigenous women have found allies in Industry but allyship needs to be fostered at all system levels. Our goal is to continue building on these relationships and moving forward together. Allies need to share their experience and learnings within and across sectors so that the conversation can shift from barriers to best practices and opportunities.

There is no fee for attendance, breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The day will include a celebrated keynote speaker, insightful discussions, door prizes.

Space is limited, so sign up today!
