About this event

Monadnock International Film Festival and Keene Parks & Recreation invite you to a FREE outdoor family movie series held on the Keene Recreation Center lawn.

Enjoy a free film outdoors on the big screen with family and friends! Movies begin at dusk, but make sure you arrive early for the best viewing spots. Bring your blanket or lawn chair, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. Free parking, popcorn, and water.

FREE OF CHARGE, but you must register on this page (this gives us a way to contact you if we need to reschedule due to rain or high wind). As soon as we receive your registration, you'll receive a separate email confirming your attendance.

HOW TO GET THERE? Walk, bike, or carpool to Parks & Recreation on 312 Washington Street. Parking is free and first-come, first-serve at Keene Parks & Recreation.

EVENT DATES are Thursday nights on June 23, July 7 and 21, and August 4. Special screening on Friday, July 15. (rain dates are June 30, July 28 and August 11. Special screening on July 15 will not be rescheduled)

FILMS ARE RATED PG or PG-13. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Feel free to bring your own food and drink. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are not permitted in the park. No pets! For the safety and comfort of everyone, please leave your furry friends at home. Restrooms are available.

SPECIAL EVENT: July 15th is Mental Health Awareness Day for the City of Keene. Mental Health is a key factor in everyone’s overall health and well-being. Youth Services will be hosting a Mental Health Awareness Day for Keene and the surrounding communities. Local resource providers, lawn games, music, food, and Kona Ice will be happening from 5:30 - 7:30 PM.
