Description
More teens are suffering from anxiety and stress-related disorders than ever before. Join MVPTSA for a screening of a new movie by Screenagers on this issue, 'Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience,' followed by a discussion led by Monta Vista High School Student Advocate, Mr. Richard Prinz.
In 2016 the movie by physician Dr. Delaney Ruston, Growing up in Digital Age, explored the impact of screen technology on kids and offered parents and families proven solutions. This award winning film was seen by 70 million people.
Dr. Delaney Ruston takes the conversation around screens and teens to the next level with Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience—a film that examines the science behind teen’s emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and most importantly, what can be done in our schools and homes to help them build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age.
The movie is about an hour and ten minutes. It will be followed by a discussion and Q&A session moderated by MVHS Student Advocate Mr Richard Prinz, who is a licensed marriage and family therapist.
