Graduate and Professional Student Government
Frequently Asked Questions & Additional Detials
Who may attend? Any and all Pitt graduate and professional students may attend. Each graduate or professional student may purchase up to two tickets for the event. At least one of these tickets must be purchased by a Pitt graduate or professional student.
Do I need to use my @pitt.edu email to purchase? Yes, you must provide your @pitt.edu email above in order to complete your purchase. Tickets purchased without an @pitt.edu may be refunded or canceled.
Does my guest need his/her own ticket? Yes, each person attending the event needs his/her own ticket purchased from EventBrite. Each graduate or professional student may purchase one ticket for one non-Pitt guest.
What do I need to bring? You need to bring your Pitt ID and proof of ticket purchase. You do not need to print a paper ticket if you are able to access a digital version of your ticket to show at the check-in location. If the event is open only to 21+ individuals, you need to bring your 21+ ID.
Do I need to be 21 to attend? Yes.
What types of 21+ ID are accepted? Acceptable forms of 21+ ID in the state of Pennsylvania include a USA-issued state ID or a passport. Many locations will not accept foreign-issued national IDs. For additional details on IDs, visit http://www.lcbapps.lcb.state.pa.us/webapp/edu/RAMP/Faqs2.asp?idnum=81#C1.
If an additional/physical ticket is needed (ex. ticket into a Pirates game or a broadway show), how do I get this physical ticket? Your eventbrite ticket will be accepted at Row House.
I cannot pick-up my ticket during the available times, can my friend pick it up for me? No, each ticket must be picked up by the person who made the purchase. That person must be a currently enrolled University of Pittsburgh Graduate or Professional student, with a valid student ID. If you need alternative time options to pick up your ticket, email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
I can no longer attend - how do I get a refund? Refunds will be honored up to 48 hours prior to the event. If you require a refund, please either request the refund through EventBrite or email email@example.com with your name, number of tickets needing a refund, and order number. If the request is made less than 48 hours prior to the start of the event, your refund request may not be honored.
I can no longer attend, but I know someone who wants my ticket, can I transfer it to him/her? No, GPSG tickets are not transferrable. GPSG does not allow students to transfer tickets to other students because many of our events have wait lists of students who are in line to receive tickets as they become available. In order to honor this wait list, if you no longer want or need your ticket, you may request a refund (no less than 48 hours prior to the event start time) and your ticket will be given to a student on the wait list.
I joined the wait list, now what? Joining the wait list is your best option to get a ticket to an event that is currently sold out. Once a ticket becomes available, you will receive an email to your @pitt.edu email address with a unique link that will allow you to purchase one ticket. This link will allow to purchase one ticket within 24 hours of receiving the email. Joining the wait list puts you in line to receive one ticket. Due to demand, we are able to offer only one ticket per student on the wait list.
I have other questions, what should I do? If you have additional questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. Any email sent within two hours of an event start time may not be answered due to the Event Planning Committee (EPC) and the VP of Programming's need to facilitate events.
