About the "Together We Go Far" campaign:
How do you decide what’s next after leaving everything you’ve known?
Our nation’s newest neighbors have come a long way by the time they arrive in Pittsburgh. After waiting years and leaving behind cultures, languages, careers, and support systems, they’re finally ready for what’s next.
Navigating this new chapter is pivotal for their success, and we can all make a significant impact by being there from the moment our new neighbors step off their plane.
Only with the support of community members like you can Hello Neighbor purchase a 15-passenger van, which will serve as a comfort and safety staple for newly arriving neighbors. Since the Hello Neighbor logo doesn’t have to be read in English to be recognized, any new neighbor can see our bright logo and know they are in the right place and with the right people.
With your help we will be able to secure the van and ensure that it’s running well for many years to come. In addition to picking up our newest neighbors when they arrive at the airport, we will also use the van for programmatic needs including job interviews, medical appointments, and cultural competency training.
To help give our neighbors safe and reliable rides on their journey ahead, we have set out to raise $100,000 from now through December 31st. Will you help us reach our goal?
