Movers and Shakers: Awakened Reformers of the 1800s

The Tennessee State Library and Archives invites Tennessee teachers to attend a workshop exploring the vibrant and audacious social reform movements and the subsequent reformers of the 19th century. Focusing on primary sources, this workshop will examine topics such as

• Sectional differences between the North and South
• Second Great Awakening
• Abolition
• Underground Railroad
• Early Women's Suffrage

Teacher participants receive lunch and six hours of professional development credit.
