Description

An experiential workshop to learn how to use physical activity and movement to help with social/emotional skills and academic success. There continues to be mounting evidence that when young people get 60 minutes of movement a day, they are more confident, have an improved sense of belonging and are better problem solvers both academically and socially. This workshop will provide you with practical skills on how to engage young people in purposeful movement and mindfulness activities so that students feel energized and connected to programming.

Takeaways:

  • Practical skills to engage students in movement for learning.
  • How to use physical activity to benefit social/emotional learning.

Recommended for: Site/direct service staff, managers/multi-site managers, and any/all in youth development.
