Why is creating a daily routine so hard?
Does the thought of sitting alone with your thoughts sound spectacularly dreadful?
Does it feel like you have no time for YOU?
Ever wondered if it's possible to be an artist AND live a balanced life?
Led by Artistic Director Caitlin Lushington and Enso Teaching Artist Peytie McCandless (recently seen as Jane Bennet in Pride & Prejudice: An Adaptation), this is a weekly group that explores how mindfulness can assist the artist (or creative spirit!) in cultivating a healthy relationship to his or her work. This is a fantastic group to join if were nodding your head to any of the questions above, have never meditated before, are interested in learning how to create a daily wellness routine, and think that you don't have time to do something kind for yourself every day.

"MOVEMENT" means: We will explore a variety of movement techniques, such as basic yoga, Viewpoints and Global Somatics(TM) to develop awareness and calm the mind.
"MEDITATION" means: We will learn short, practical meditation practices that can be used to ground ourselves anywhere and everywhere: on the bus, walking to work, at the office, and so on.
We want "Movement & Meditation" to feel less like a class and more like a guide post. As you move through your life and start to create a wellness routine for yourself, our weekly session should be a place for you to check in, try some new tools, share your experiences and be part of a community that motivates you to be well.
Despite what the word "meditation" may fill you with, we promise to make it full of life, full of fun, and filled with laughter!
