Sound

It’s the metaphor for creation. It is Creation
It is the closest explanation for the cause of existence.
Sound is air in vibration. It is also the acknowledgement of space, in which two things with, distance between, strike together to create sound.

Music is at a certain frequency of vibration And thoughts are even smaller I suppose meditation is observing the pulses in our body or in our breath.

Silence

The absence of noise. The counterpart to sound. Giving sound its power and sound giving silence its power too. But does one ever experience true silence?
It is subjective. It is the metaphor for void, or for the distance between ‘zero & ones’, the foundation of activity, like space. An acknowledging the death and brief rest between all that is created.

Eckhart Tolle says that silence can be seen either as the absence of noise, or as the space in which sound exists, just as inner stillness can be seen as the absence of thought, or the space in which thoughts are perceived.

Movement

Movement can be thought of like sound. It is vibration. It is the acknowledgement of space, inhabited and uninhabited and the shift between the two. It's the cycles and ebbs and flows we emulate. It is essential to life. It is life.

“I move, therefore I am”

  • Haruki Murakami

“We see in order to move; we move in order to see.”

  • William Gibson

“Consciousness is only possible through change; change is only possible through movement.”

  • Aldous Huxley

Stillness

Similarly, stillness is like silence. It is the perceived absence of movement. And again, perhaps this never truly occurs.

“Being still does not mean don't move. It means move in peace.”

  • E'yen A. Gardner

The practice or contemplation of these elements
Both sound and silence are observed in ritual to enable connection to the ultimate reality.

What we are.
These are but elements and by products of life, buzzing freely around us, silent-noise-silent-noise-silent-noise, beyond our decision.

But in alchemy it has the potential to promote stillness or divine creativity.

It can heal.

“At the still point of the turning world. Neither flesh nor fleshless;

Neither from nor towards; at the still point, there the dance is,

But neither arrest nor movement. And do not call it fixity,

Where past and future are gathered. Neither movement from nor towards,

Neither ascent nor decline. Except for the point, the still point,

There would be no dance, and there is only the dance.”

  • T.S Elliot
