Move Like No One's Looking: A Dance Call Workshop for the Singer/Actor
Sun, March 26, 2017, 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM CDT
Our most popular class is back!
So you don't have years of dance training. So you consider yourself a singer/actor. So the dance call has always felt like a mystery you can't quite crack. That doesn't mean it isn't for you!
Join us at Refuge Theatre Project in this 2 hour dance workshop for Chicago actors where we will break down the dance call.
Taught by Jon Martinez, you will be able to ask any and all questions, experience a professional dance call in a safe and open environment, and work with a Chicago director and choreographer. This workshop isn't about learning how to dance; here you will learn the skills needed to not only survive a dance call but own it. You will learn what choreographers and directors are looking for while Jon gives you the "dvd commentary" on the mock audition.
