Experience the magic of Motown live at Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center outdoor concert venue. Bring your friends and family to party under the stars with sounds from Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, and all your Motown favorites. CONCERT TIME
Gates open at 6 pm for picnicking.* VIP Tables may enter at 5:30 pm. Concert begins at 7:30 pm.
TICKET INFORMATION
Lawn tickets Adult tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate. Child tickets are $5 (12 and under). Gate prices go into effect at 10 am on the day of the concert.
Tables A limited number of eight-person tables are available. Reserve your table today! Tables can be purchased by calling Sean McCarthy at 860.352.8741. (M-F, 10 AM-5 PM) or emailing smccarthy@favarh.org.
- Friends of Favarh VIP Table $1,000. Favarh offers a tax-deductible opportunity to purchase the Friends of Favarh VIP Table that partially supports the organization’s charitable efforts. The Friends of Favarh Table includes this gourmet picnic for eight from Connecticut award-winning Metro Bis Restaurant, two bottles of wine, early entry onto the field at 5:30 pm, VIP parking for 2 cars, and a tax-deductible donation.
- VIP Table $400. Reserve a table for eight to enjoy food and drink purchased separately in advance from these menus New England Pasta Company/BeanZ or The Winged Bear. Or purchase food at the venue from a mouth-watering array of food tents.
FOOD & DRINK
Bring an Appetite!
Choose from a large selection of food for purchase on-site at a variety of concession tents. Wine, beer, soda, and water will also be available for purchase at the concert.
As an added convenience, Motown Picnics ordered 3 days in advance are available for pick-up at the event from New England Pasta Company/BeanZ and The Winged Bear.
* Outside food, drink, canopies, and tents are not allowed. Food/Drink/Alcohol will be available for purchase on the grounds.
*Motown Picnics may also be pre-ordered (see above.)
* Patrons will not be required to wear masks, although masking and physical distancing is recommended for people who are unvaccinated, based on Centers for Disease Control guidelines.
Metro Bis menu is only available to Friends of Favarh VIP Table attendees.
New England Pasta Company/BeanZ and The Winged Bear menus are available to all concert attendees.
PARKING AND ADDITIONAL INFO
Gates
Entry to the field begins at 6 pm. Friends of Favarh may enter beginning at 5:30 pm. Concert begins at 7:30 pm.
Parking
Favarh asks that you please carpool whenever possible. Limited free parking is available off Iron Horse Blvd. and throughout Simsbury. A limited number of on-site parking spaces will be made available for sale beginning at 5:00 PM on the day of the concert. On-site parking will be first-come, first-served for a fee of $10 per vehicle (including handicapped-accessible parking.)
Weather
In the case of severe weather, the concert will be rescheduled for Sunday, September 11, 2022, at the same time. Postponement or cancellation announcements will be made by noon on concert day on this website, simsburymeadowsmusic.com, and Facebook and Twitter pages of Favarh and Simsbury Meadows.
Clean Up
Please help by bagging your trash and depositing it in the available containers.
Strictly Prohibited on the Grounds
Smoking, outside food/beverage, drugs, ball playing or other sports equipment, pets, fireworks, sparklers, firearms or any other incendiary device, radios, boom-boxes or other stereo equipment, solicitation or unauthorized concessions or handouts, tents, tarps and large tables, lewdness, drunkenness or other inappropriate behavior. Audio and video recording and flash photography are prohibited during the performance.
First Aid
First Aid services are available in the southwest corner of the site, near the front of the lawn. Trained First Responder personnel are also stationed throughout the grounds.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found is located in the First Aid Tent during the concert. At all other times those items will be available at the Simsbury Performing Arts Center Office (the small grey building located near the playground, across from the back of the stage.)
Restrooms
Portable toilets are located on-site.
Handicap Accessibility
Handicapped parking and accessible restrooms are designated at the concert site. A limited number of handicapped-accessible parking passes for lots on site are available for purchase on the day of the concert for $10 per vehicle. To access handicapped parking you will need a state handicapped permit on your vehicle. The handicapped entrance is located at the southeast corner of the grounds.
Directions
The Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center is located at 22 Iron Horse Blvd., one block east of Rt. 10/202 in historic downtown Simsbury, CT.
From Hartford: Take Albany Avenue (Route 44) westbound to Avon. At the second intersection of Routes 44 and 10/202 (white church), turn right onto 10/202 toward Simsbury. Follow for 4.6 miles to Drake Hill Road. Turn right onto Drake Hill Road to first left onto Iron Horse Blvd. Please follow signs as directed.
Directions from I-84: Take Exit 39 to Farmington. At the intersection of Routes 4 and 10 in the center of Farmington, turn right onto Route 10 (Waterville Rd.). At the intersection of Route 10 and 44, turn left onto Route 44 (East Main Street) toward Avon. In the center of Avon, at the intersection of Route 44 and 10/202 (white church), turn right onto 10/202 toward Simsbury. Follow for 4.6 miles to Drake Hill Road. Turn right onto Drake Hill Road to first left onto Iron Horse Blvd.
