Motion is the Lotion - Golf Mechanics and Injury Prevention Lab!
Dr. Carlos Berio, owner and Head Sports Pain Specialist at SPARK Physiotherapy is excited to be on site at MVCC to talk about the athletic development and injury prevention hacks for golf!
During this seminar we will discuss the important moving parts and the commonly seen injury pathways. Better still, we will delve deeply into the ways that we can stay ahead of the most often seen pain complaints of professional and competitive amateur players.
- 30 - 45 minute presentation with Q&A
- 30 - 45 minute movement/drilling lab. Everyone should wear comfortable clothing and will be encouraged to 'try on' all of the new movement pattern fixes for themselves
In this seminar, Dr. Berio will describe the biomechanics and demonstrate the important aspects of sport specific rotary power generation through simple drills you can do on the floor or with your own body weight. By actively participating, this should help you learn something new about your body and how to use it more efficiently when playing a sport with such high physical demands as golf.
