Were are excited to report that we will celebrate at a new venue this year: World Cafe Live at 3025 Walnut Street.
Entertainment will be provided by Philadelphia's very own Breakwater!
Breakwater brings a fusion of funk, R&B and jazz to the stage. Breakwater formed in 1971 and seven years later were signed to Arista Records by music mogul Clive Davis. After two successful albums that featured hits such as "Say You Love Me Girl", "Work It Out" and "Release the Beast", the band made a decision to split, but continued to make music separately through various side projects. Thirty years later, the legendary eleven piece blues funk jazz horn band has reunited with five of the original members and are bringing their fantastic sound to the world for an uplifting experience you won't want to miss.
More exciting news: Frankie Z will also be performing!
Frankie Zulferino is a male Pop artist from New York. In his earlier years, Frankie was a part of the boy band WOW and has opened up for artists such as Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Jason Derulo and Sean Kingston. Frankie Z has also toured Europe with multi-platinum group, Westlife, where he performed at the London O2 Arena as well as Croke Park. In addition, Frankie was one of the top four contestants in the New York episode of CW’s The Next where he was mentored by pop sensation Joe Jonas.
All proceeds benefit the mission and work of Mothers in Charge, Inc.
