Event description
A Mother’s Day Workshop—Japanese Shibori May 8th, FROM 5-8PM

About this Event

In Japan, the earliest known example of cloth dyed with a Shibori technique dates from the 8th century. The process is created through a series of folding, twisting, and binding using plant based indigo dye. The results are unique and beautiful.

Join us as we Make & Mary with other craftspeople in our outdoor courtyard. We’ll provide all the necessary materials and guidance, along with herbal mocktails.

FILL FREE TO BRING YOUR OWN WHITE GARMENTS, BUT WE WILL ALSO SUPPLY A TEA TOWEL AND A TOTE FOR YOU TO DYE AND TAKE HOME!

••••••••••••

We want to create a safe and welcoming environment and will be following strict COVID rules and safe social distancing practices. Upon entry, we will be taking a noninvasive temperature reading from each guest. Guest will also need to wear face coverings throughout the session.

If you are coming with a friend, please let us know and we will sit you together.

This is a 21+ event and attendees are invited to BYOC to elevate their experience. Space is limited.
