About this Event
Morton College is pleased to announce a new Pharmacy Technician training program beginning September 24th, 2020. The class meets on Thursdays from 6 pm - 9:45 pm. The class ends on February 11, 2021 with a 120 hour externship following the end of class ending in April, 2021. This 300-hour program is offered in partnership with MK Education and meets the training requirements in Illinois for a certified pharmacy technician. The program prepares students for employment as a pharmacy technician in Illinois and also for national certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and National Healthcareer Association (NHA). *All hands-on clinical exposure through labs and externships are subject to change with the COVID-19 circumstances at that time.
Morton College is a Certified Training Provider for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program. The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a federal law which provides training for people who are out of work, those that need training to change career paths, or people whose skills need improving in order to obtain a new job. Candidates must be determined, eligible, and suitable in order to receive WIOA funds. If eligible, candidates can have their full tuition covered as well as any additional expenses necessary to start a new career. Morton College offers training programs, but does not determine if you qualify for WIOA training funds. Payment plan options are available for those who may not qualify for WIOA funds.
