Description

UMN Extension's Children, Youth, & Family Consortium's resident scholar and professor, Dr. Jenfier McGuire, Family and Social Sciences and a team of graduate students and Extension educators will visit several regions in Minnesota to meet directly with professionals and families to discuss: issues relevant to transgender youth, nutrition and transgender body image, and mental health as a public health issue.

Intended audiencesinclude professionals and educators who work with youth and families, as well as parents and other adults whose work may include transgender youth. CEUs will be available for social workers.

Registration is required as lunch will be provided for those attending the full day.
