Do you find yourself wanting to use an arduino for a project, but you don't have enough IO lines? Have you spent $70 for an Arduino MEGA just to get more IO? Have you seen a cool new sensor, but it requires i2c and you haven't used it before? If so, this class is for you!
This hands-on class will cover the following areas:
1) Adding additional outputs to the arduino
2) Adding additional inputs to the arduino
3) Basic i2c operation, and communicating with multiple i2c devices
Members - FREE ($20 Materials Fee) = $20 total
Non-Members - $20 (+ $20 Materials Fee) = $40 total
(Lunch is not included, bring a few $$ and we will order some pizza, etc)
Hardware included in materials fee:
TBD, but will include an assortment of shift registers, i2c devices, and some other fun parts to let us spend time BUILDING instead of just looking at slides.
Please Note: A personal laptop will be required to participate. You should already be familar with Arduino, know how to load and change a sketch, blink LEDs, modify code, etc.
Required hardware: Arduino or Arduino-compatible board, USB cable, solderless breadboard, jumper wires. If your Arduino board is not-usb powered, please bring a small power supply and your FTDI (etc) programmer.
QUESTIONS: EMAIL US - email@example.com
NOTE: THIS CLASS IS AT THE NEW FAMILAB LOCATION - NOT CLOUDSPACE!!!
NOTE: This class is for adults only. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have a minor that is already using arduino and interested in this class.
