Overview
The Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Spine Symposium is an immersive educational program designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, athletic trainers, and allied health professionals who manage spinal conditions across the continuum of care. This comprehensive event features expert lectures and case-based discussions led by nationally recognized spine specialists.
Faculty presenters include Dr. Sayari, Dr. Nathan Lee, Dr. Yoon, and Dr. Lotus. Together, they will highlight current trends in spine surgery, minimally invasive techniques, clinical decision making, and the evolving landscape of patient-centered spine care. Topics will focus on evidence-based approaches to diagnosis, treatment selection, complication reduction, and optimizing outcomes in both operative and non-operative settings.
In addition, the physical therapy department will provide targeted educational sessions on key areas that influence recovery and return to function. Presentations include Pain Sciences, Return to Lifting and Sport, Work Conditioning, and Neuro Considerations for the Orthopedic Physical Therapist. These sessions will emphasize rehabilitation strategies, patient communication frameworks, and practical tools that can be immediately applied in clinical practice.
Attendees will leave with enhanced insight into collaborative care pathways that combine surgical expertise with progressive rehabilitation concepts in order to improve patient outcomes, accelerate return to activity, and elevate the standard of spine care within their communities.
