It is with great pleasure that the Moorfields External Disease and Corneal Faculty, invites you to attend the second annual Moorfields International Corneal Symposium 2019.

There is a packed programme from an esteemed panel of expert speakers from the Moorfields External Disease and Corneal faculty, international key note speakers including Professor Jodhbir S Mehta, Senior Consultant, SIngapore National Eye Centre, Mark Wilkins, Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, Moorfields Eye Hospital, London and Dr Luigi Fontana, Bologna, Italy.

Marcus Ang

Consultant, Cornea Service, SNEC and Assistant Professor at Duke University – NUS, Singapore

A recent graduate of the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology’s Leadership Development Program, Ang is a widely published author with five book chapters and over 88 peer-reviewed publications to his name, the majority of which are first or corresponding author in journals with impact factors >2.0 (he has an h-index of 20). His research work is mostly translational, such as studying prognostic factors to help improve outcomes following corneal transplantation, and this work has been recognized with several international awards. He has also undertaken voluntary Ophthalmology work in the community, leading volunteer missions to Asia and beyond in his role as Director of Vision Projects at the Singaporean non-profit organization, Global Clinic, where he regularly organizes missions and travels to provide free cataract surgery in countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, India and Myanmar.

The symposium is recommended for all Ophthalmic Professionals with an interest in Corneal Ophthalmology, in particular Corneal Consultants, Corneal Fellows and those looking to hold a Corneal Fellowship position.

There is a registration fee payable of £50 for consultants and £30 for doctors or trainees to secure a place. Availability is strictly limited on a first come first serve basis so please book your place via the links below as soon as possible. CPD points have been applied for.
