Help Restore and Protect Elk Meadow Park Dog Off Leash Area!

BACKGROUND: Join us for our monthly Elk Meadow Park DOLA cleanup (every third Saturday of the Month). Dog waste does not biodegrade like wild animal waste, due to what we feed our dogs. Left alone, dog waste pollutes groundwater and can contain harmful organisms like E. coli, giardia, Salmonella, roundworms, hookworms and cryptosporidium. All of these can be passed on to people and other pets through surface water runoff or on the bottom of a shoe.

We'll provide the bags, tools, coffee and bagels, we just need you to provide the education to your fellow visitor and muscle to clean up the park.

Want to become a member of our Friends of Elk Meadow Park DOLA? Sign up here to find out about all of our upcoming events.

BEFORE YOU GO: Maximize your time at the site by downloading a release of liability form, filling it out and bringing it with you to the project site. The link to the PDF is in blue, near the bottom of the page:  volunteer release of liability form
