Dance the night away and become a part of a brand new Tango community. Your host Dr. Lewis Gross is a holistic dentist in Tribeca, whose family moved to MONTAUK after 9/11. In his book, Montauk Tango, Dr. Lewis Gross tells the powerful story of a family who owns and operates The 668 Gig Shack, which will serve as the meeting house during the event. He is a tango addict and just wants others to experience the dance.

Your Hostess Renee Rouger is the owner and founder of Milonga Falucho and ROUGERTANGO; has been immersed in the NYC Tango Community for over twenty years. She is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

IMPORTANT: Please read carefully and choose the right ticket. Each workshop has a number, please choose up to 8 workshops you wish to attend and add them when purchasing tickets. When purchasing a workshop a la carte, you must choose only one. You will be assigned to the workshops. All changes can be made before March 1, 2023. Your hostess Renee Rouger is the owner and founder of Milonga Falucho and ROUGERTANGO; a Tango event Organizer, Artist representative whom have been immersed in the NYC Tango Community for over twenty years. She is original from Buenos Aires, Argentina and her brand, ROUGERTANGO, reveals the constant pulse of the Porteña culture through live music by musicians and singers; dance performances, lessons and workshops, and the poetry of tango lyrics.

Guillermina obtained the recognition “Outstanding women in tango “ by the Argentinian Congress, and was choose as Best Dance in 2016 by the New York Times.As a performer has been several times on Broadway with Forever Tango and the mythical and original Tango Argentino ; with Julio Iglesias, on his three years worldwide tour, performed on the most eccentric and biggest stages around the world.Actress and choreographer in “Valentina’s Tango” filmed in Hollywood ,on the leading role of Valentina.

Mariano Logiudice, is an Argentinian tango dancer and teacher based in New York City ; He teach and performed in different Tango Festivals in China ,Hong Kong, Italy, France, Boston, San Francisco, Stowe, Tunisia, Canada. Together with Guillermina they were a soloist Tango couple on the opera rock Evita at New York City Center, and also they performed at Carnegie Hall, with the Rochester Philharmonic orchestra and on the Broadway hit "Tango Argentino" on the closing ceremonies of World Tango championship at Obelisco in Bs As.

Guillermo Merlo

A dancer, performer, choreographer, instructor and Coach.

Guillermo Merlo is a true legend in the world of Argentine Tango. Renowned for his elegant style, creative choreography and powerful command of the stage. He has toured internationally for well over a decade now. Guillermo Merlo was the recipient of the 1997 and 1998 TONY AWARD for Best Choreography for the show ‘Forever Tango” on Broadway. Guillermo won 1ST place in the World Argentine Tango Championship in 1999. Guillermo has performed in concert with severals Symphony Orchestras (New Mexico, Long Beach, Costa Mesa, USA) and was commissioned the creation of a Tango Ballet for the Tulsa Ballet Dance Company. He and his partner were the feature dancers on the PBS special ‘Tango Magic’ with Pablo Ziegler and the Orpheus Orchestra and had the honor of being the first non-Asians ever invited to perform at The Imperial Theater in Tokyo, Japan. Guillermo served as a judge at The Tango Mundial, The World Competition for Argentine Tango in Montreal, Canada and ATUSA Argentine Tango USA Official Championship and Festival in San Francisco California.

Carlos and Maureen Urrego

Carlos and Maureen have been dancing together since 2016. They have traveled around the US, Colombia and Argentina teaching, competing and performing while continuing to study with many different tango masters. They have produced tango shows in the city of New Orleans and have also been part of the Thalia Spanish Theater in New York. Some of the award winning couple's biggest accomplishments have been special guest performers in the mythical Salon Canning and Maldita Milonga in Buenos Aires, Argentina and also created the first Medellin Tango Marathon in Medellin, Colombia. Their teaching style brings positive energy and clear instruction to the classroom for those looking to improve their dance for the social dance floor as well for those looking to teach, perform or compete.

Jack Hanley

Jack Hanley began his study of Argentine tango in 1997 at the Sandra Cameron Dance School in NYC. During that time his understanding of the dance was shaped by the instruction of tango masters Pupi Castello, Pablo Veron, Pablo Pugliese among others. In the last 10 years he continued his study under the great dancers Diego Di Falco, Anton Gazenbeek and Sergio Segura. Jack is also a popular tango DJ. You can hear his selection of music at all the popular milongas in the NYC area.

He’s passionate about sharing his knowledge of tango especially to the beginner student of the dance. He believes, for everyone, that dance is an essential part of a full and happy life.
