8-Weeks - Sundays 1:30-4:00pm - 10/16-11/20, 12/4-12/11
Show Date: 12/16, 10pm
This 8 week workshop + show will teach attendees the monoscene longform structure. The monoscene format is similar to an improvised 1 act play, in which the entire 25 minute show takes place in a single location with no edits. Many of the philosophies required for the monoscene structure will be based on the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) theater, specifically game-driven scenes. This is the same form Naffy performs every Friday night!
The conclusion of this workshop will include a performance slot at Naffy's popular Friday show. This course is intended for very experienced improvisors who are familiar performing similar longform formats, such as the Harold. The prerequisites for the course is completion of the Advanced Game Workshop or instructor approval.
If you have not completed the Advanced Game Workshop and would like to be considered for this workshop, please complete the form below:

In order to help keep costs low, all courses will be conducted in a room at 41 Vasser on the MIT Campus. Attendees should be fully aware that we will not have a guaranteed room and non ideal situations may occur (although unlikely) such as - difficulty finding an available room or a need to switch rooms due to another reservation. What we will guarantee is a full 2.5 hour workshop, so that interruptions or delays will not cut into actual workshop time. We appreciate your understanding and flexiblity for this slightly unusual course location.
After signups, your instructor will reach out to you with more information.
