Monk Beer Academy - April Session: NC Beer History & Growth
Tue, April 11, 2017, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM EDT
It goes without saying, we love beer. We love beer from here, we love beer from there, we love beer from everywhere. Most of all, we love learning about beer while we enjoy it—where a beer originated, the history behind the style, the aromas and flavors to savor as we quaff one, two or a few.
With the pursuit of "beerducation" in mind, we hold a monthly Monk Beer Academy class at the Downtown Thirsty Monk every month. During each class, our Draft Quality Manager, Certified Cicerone® Jeremiah Tracy, hosts a 45 minute informative guided tasting, focused around a particular beer-related topic. The class is complimentary, all you have to pay for is your tasting flight.
The next class is at 7PM on Tuesday, April 11th, and in honor of NC Beer Month, the topic is NC Beer History and Growth! Come learn a little more about the breweries in our backyard, and across our fine state. We'll cover the history of those who brought craft beer to North Carolina, all the way up to the latest explosion of small craft breweries in the past 5 years.
Space is limited, so go ahead and reserve your seat now. You'll be able to purchase a tasting flight when you arrive.
