Description

Do you manage your money or does it manage you? Do you seem to have more month left than money? Do you wonder why you can’t save more or budget better? Does investing confuse or terrify you?

Start the new year off right by understanding and taking control of your finances. In response to the popular money management sessions previously offered, Happy Healthy Women is delighted to present an all-day workshop with Francine Dick, a Certified Financial Planner.

We will begin with our attitude towards money and wealth, move on to budgeting and credit reports, discuss saving and investing, including socially responsible investing, government programs, taxes, insurance and much more. There will always be time for questions and discussion. This is a safe, non-judgemental place for women to come together and discuss their money issues and to receive practical advice.

Ticket Price: $75 for the day, including lunch.

ABOUT OUR HOST:

FRANCINE DICK

For over 20 years as a financial advisor, Francine has helped hundreds of families in the GTA. She was born in Toronto where she still lives in the Roncesvalles neighbourhood. As a woman who raised three children on her own, Francine understands the challenges we can face and our need to be prepared for life’s unexpected events. Her focus is on helping women achieve a secure financial future and ensuring families are protected and on track. She is the author of the upcoming book, Enjoy Your Latte, a Financial Advisor’s Guide to Money and Life.

Francine is a tireless volunteer and was the recipient of the Canada 125 Medal and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her community service.
As the winner of Alterna Savings and Credit Union's first Community Social Responsibility (CSR) Idol award, she had the opportunity of traveling to the Philippines with the Canadian Co-operative Association and observe firsthand the benefits of people working together for their mutual benefit. As a member of the Centre for Social Innovation, this is her outlook on life and in work.
